Barry Landry

Barry Landry began his career in the banking industry in 1976 working in the accounting department of Citizens National Bank. In 1980, he was named Data Processing Manager and charged with the responsibility of establishing an information systems department. He was subsequently named Senior Vice President, Cashier, and Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for the in-house development and maintenance of the banking application systems; implementing customer services such as ATMs, voice response, and descriptive statements; implementing automation throughout the bank to improve the efficiency of operations; and all financial activities of the company. In 1992, he was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Tuscaloosa Commerce Bank. During his tenure, the bank installed their first ATMs, opened the first supermarket branch in Livingston Parish, and doubled the number of new accounts opened each month.
His broad range of experience was gained by working in a “hands-on” environment and being actively involved in the programming, development, and implementation of automated systems in the community bank market. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. Also, he is a graduate of the LSU Graduate School of Banking of the South. Professional certifications include Certified Public Accountant and Certified Data Processor.
